چکیده
The interior pore of open-cell aluminium foams filled with bronze is a new method preparing composite. voids were fabricated by in situ thermal decomposition space-holder powder metallurgical sintering process. Cu3Sn phase content observed to increase through transformation at the expense Cu6Sn5 and aluminium-matrix during isothermal aging. effect porosity on interface microstructure between filler has been investigated. 'bulge' shape appears compressive stress-strain curve composite, which sharply different from single-component metal foams. According characteristic stress distribution, curves can be divided into 4 stages: quasi-linear region, decrease plateau region densification region. relative density first maximum absorbed energy composite was also studied. results suggest incorporating pores an effective improve mechanical properties

Bending Stiffness of Aluminium Foams
The basic manufacturing processes of cellular materials have been briefly noted as well as the metal foam properties. The most widely used are the aluminium foams due to the following properties: very good insulation (thermal insulation and sound absorption), low density (mass), high specific rigidity in sandwich structures, very good impact damping, corrosion resistance, non-flammability, very...
متن کاملAluminium Alloy Foams: Production and Properties
Ultra-light metal foams became an attractive research field both from the scientific and industrial applications view points. Closed-cell metal foams, in particular aluminium alloy (Al-alloy) ones can be used as lightweight, energy-absorption and damping structures in different industrial sectors, detaining an enormous potential when transportation is concerned. Despite the several manufacturin...
متن کاملMechanical properties of highly porous alumina foams
The mechanical properties of porous ceramics are greatly influenced by their microstructure. Therefore, mechanical behavior of highly porous ceramics is different from that of dense ceramics. In this work, we evaluate different mechanical testing methods such as static compression, Brazilian disc test and 3-point bending on their suitability for comparison of highly porous ceramic materials. It...
متن کاملMeasurement and Modeling of Creep in Open-Cell NiAl Foams
Nickel-rich NiAl foams, consisting of open cells with hollow struts and exhibiting two relative densities (5.0 and 6.6 pct) and average cell sizes (1.27 and 0.85 mm), were creep tested between 800 °C and 1100 °C under compressive stresses between 0.10 and 1.50 MPa. For stresses lower than 0.50 MPa, the foams exhibit secondary creep with power-law behavior characterized by creep exponents and ac...
متن کاملScaling equation for yield strength of nanoporous open-cell foams
A comprehensive study on the relationship between yield strength, relative density and ligament sizes is presented for nanoporous Au foams. Depth-sensing nanoindentation tests were performed on nanoporous foams ranging from 20% to 42% relative density with ligament sizes ranging from 10 to 900 nm. The Gibson and Ashby yield strength equation for open-cell macrocellular foams is modified in orde...
